Water Supply in Pandan Perdana ´òÓ¡ µç×ÓÓʼþ
2008/05/12, Monday

water_drop.jpg

Some areas in Pandan Perdana had been facing water cut off for a few days. In certain areas such as apartments the situation are more critical.

Many people called and emailed me. In fact, I had called the person in charge for Syabas, En. Halem to solve the problem. The explaination from Syabas was because water was lost when it was channel from other places e.g. Wangsa Maju to Pandan Perdana. The Syabas technicians are trying to find the problem.

As of Monday night (22.54 pm), most areas in Pandan Perdana had water supply back to normal leaving only areas in Pandan Height particularly block A with water supply problem. I had notified En. Halem of this and he is sending technicians to check out the problem.

Water is important in our daily life. In Malaysia we are blessed with many rivers and mountains to store water. Cases such as no water supply should not have happend. All these is due to the inefficient of the Syabas company. (please click to continue...)
The water business in Selangor is a monopoly business. The rakyat do not get to enjoy the service but is constantly totured by the poor services of the operator. All these are the legacy of the old BN state Government that privatised the water supply without an open tender system.

We, the Rakyat have the right to demand from Syabas (it is a private company now!) to improve its services and minimises disturbances of water supply. We expect everyone getting contracts and projects from the Government to perform.
I will definitely raise this issue with the Menteri Besar.

People in Pandan Height, I know you are getting impatient on this and you rightfully do. Please bear with me to get the job done. However, when it involve technical issue, I have no choice but to depend on Syabas personnel. You can be assured that I will watch them closely !

Syabas should give annoucement to citizens before the water service going

But syabas didn't make annoucement for teratai citizens two days

Hi Jenice, got even more frustrated (Toward SYABAS) when i saw this news "SELANGOR ASSEMBLY: Water tariffs in Klang Valley to go up by 37pc"

Price up but bad quality and service remain... how can our tax payer
money be wasted on SYABAS like this... Is there anyway to review
their contract or have an open tender?

We experience brownish water because of the sludge accummulated over a long
period. Malaysian rivers are short and carry plently of sediments. Just look at
Klang and Gombak River. They are teh tarik. So when going under treatment, not
all sediments are removed.

Apartments have the most problems because water
have to be suck from ground tank and pump up to the water tank at the roof top.
If the ground water tank is partially ful, the pump will not work and you will
not have any water.

I do not know Sybas have constructed a computer model.
That computer model will tell what happen to the water flow and pressure if
something goes wrong and what are the scenerios if water is feed from other
areas instead of physically fiddle around.

If it is a electrical supply
problem. TNB should have Transportable Emergency Generator sets that sits on top
of a trailer and can be move all over West Malaysia. It can also be used in any

I think Syabas is trying to sabotage the current state government. These company
most probably still get instruction from UMNO/MCA. Can you please tell our
beloved MB Khalid Ibrahim to review or cancel their privatization contract.
Things cannot carry on like this....
Jenice   |60.49.104.xxx |2008-05-15 23:38:36
We will definately look into this issue.

No water in Pandan Perdana, Bukit Pandan Condo 2, Block A for
almost a week.

Water on Monday 11 May was brownish - like kopi susu. Maybe should make Teh Tarik kaw kawusing this type of water and treat the Syabas personnels with it.

Water
only came yesterday Tues 12 May, and even then the water pressure
is so darn high - all my toilets that were working fine suddenly has
overflowing problems.

My toilets' cisterns work fine but even if I
turned off the main pipes connected to each tank already, until die die cannot turn anymore, yet water still flows. After solve one problem - two
more adds up. Really SYABAS for doing such crappy crap crap
work.

Wednesday, May 14, Wake up in the morning. NO WATER!

To
Syabas, NMKNNCCB et al. Sue me? Sue me lah!

Thank you Jenice and Mr. Yuan, for your action taken with Syabas. The water
situation is terrible and it was especially bad for our senior citizens where
they are unable to carry the water from the tanker.

Thank you once again for
getting the water running again.

Hi everyone,
I am very very happy that someone have made a move in this matter
and given a feedback on it. It is very frustrating when u lodge a complain or
report without getting any feedback. Eg, i have made reports(emails and phone
calls) to SYABAS, MCA, and TV3. None of them care to reply or contact me or give
me a feedback. Imagine 7 days without water. What a bad service by SYABAS. Hope
that the matter will be solve ASAP as i dun want to be haunted by this matter
for long..One whole week is enough for me! Anyway, WELL DONE DAP and Jenice for
the action taken instead of juz giving unexceptable excuses.

Sorry, I rephrase my comment.

I understand your feeling. To get them to solve the problem is just like pulling
a cow to the field. Anyway, I have sent my message to Menteri Besar office.
Hopefully we could get a better solution in the future.

I did called Syabas on a daily basis about this matter, the excuses given by
them are unreasonable and the estimation given by them are not
trustworthy.

Early i've posted some reply on the blog
(http://eelnosaj.blogspot.com/2008/05/cheras-water
-disruption-touture-by.html).

Water disruption is not the only problem. The
water quality is as well. This video show how bad the water quality that i've
been receiving from Syabas.
Hope this matter can be raised as
well.

Anyway thanks for your help
for raising this up really appreciate it.

Thanks
