Some areas in Pandan Perdana had been facing water cut off for a few days. In certain areas such as apartments the situation are more critical.
Many people called and emailed me. In fact, I had called the person in charge for Syabas, En. Halem to solve the problem. The explaination from Syabas was because water was lost when it was channel from other places e.g. Wangsa Maju to Pandan Perdana. The Syabas technicians are trying to find the problem.
As of Monday night (22.54 pm), most areas in Pandan Perdana had water supply back to normal leaving only areas in Pandan Height particularly block A with water supply problem. I had notified En. Halem of this and he is sending technicians to check out the problem.
Water is important in our daily life. In Malaysia we are blessed with many rivers and mountains to store water. Cases such as no water supply should not have happend. All these is due to the inefficient of the Syabas company. (please click to continue...)
The water business in Selangor is a monopoly business. The rakyat do not get to enjoy the service but is constantly totured by the poor services of the operator. All these are the legacy of the old BN state Government that privatised the water supply without an open tender system.
We, the Rakyat have the right to demand from Syabas (it is a private company now!) to improve its services and minimises disturbances of water supply. We expect everyone getting contracts and projects from the Government to perform.
I will definitely raise this issue with the Menteri Besar.
People in Pandan Height, I know you are getting impatient on this and you rightfully do. Please bear with me to get the job done. However, when it involve technical issue, I have no choice but to depend on Syabas personnel. You can be assured that I will watch them closely !
