Some problems.... |

I have several meetings with different groups of ‘representatives’ in these two days.
This morning a group of 3 men came with appointment. They claimed they are the representatives from their Taman (I don’t even know that during and before election). Of course I knew these people because of certain ‘friendship’ with my party.
Start demanding
They start with asking for a surau. Immediately I promised to help them to get one because there is a place where they can build surau. Right after I promised their demand, I did not see their exciting reaction and their face still dull.
Then they start talking about the storm happened in April where the Dewan Orang Ramai was effected. Before the 8 March election , this hall was UMNO branch.
About the damage
For your information, I visited to all the effected houses and Dewan the next day morning and pictures were taken also. I knew how the Dewan were damanged. During that time I have told the residents that this property belongs of MPAJ or Daerah office, they have to repaired it. Since we do not have a proper policy to solve the problem of who has the authority to keep the key, therefore I let the Dewan be it at the moment.
The residents cannot use the hall in the past
Before the election, this hall has not been lent to any residents but only UMNO members. After the election, one of these men said he need the hall for his son wedding. Then I called UMNO chief to give him the key for wedding purposes. Now, when my member and also the residents there wanted to use the hall for gathering, this fellows told my member to write in a letter to him! I am the one to get him the key and now he is holding the key without returning it and some more I have to write in a letter to him?!
(picture 1 & 2: These are the damanges on the Dewan Orang Ramai, worth RM6000!)
A bill of RM6000
Comes back to the meeting with these so call representatives. They told me that because they don’t see me and difficult to make appointment with me, so they repair the Dewan without my knowledge. This is because one of these men's son want to use the hall for wedding.
These men ask for RM6000 for repairing the few zinks that was damanged and they said they get a plumber to get a new paip done……All these RM6000 was borrowed from the residents. People RM6000! Borrow from residents to repair a Dewan? I think only Ah Long will do so.
Some restrictions for the fund
I told them, if they want to do project by using my fund, they have to get my approval first and I have to choose the panel contractor which is class F and registered in Daerah office.
Now seems like the process is wrong and I don’t even know they had repaired. I said it is very difficult for me to claim. The Daerah office had a guideline for all the claims and this RM6000 project without approval and yet not taking the contractor from the list. So how can we claim? Some more are these project worth RM6000?!
These people immediately lambasted me for not taking care of them and said that I am just another BN ADUN who sideline the residents in that Taman. But I wonder why don’t they cheer me for promise them a surau?
Project, project and project
When I heard this I took a deep breath and sat back. These are the people only interested in money and projects. They don’t listen to my explanations and not interested in people’s welfare.
In Teratai there are ‘friends’ who said to me openly that ‘We are Pxxxxxx XxxxxT you must give all the projects to us!’
I was shocked and feeling like vomit. These people claimed they are my supporters but end up asking for projects. So what is the different between these ‘friends’ and UMNO members?
I wonder if they understand the concept of new government?
