After 3 months struggling to fix the Ahli Majlis post and it is now almost come to a stage where the appointed ahli's are going to take their oath tomorrow.

During these few months, Pakatan Rakyat government was negotiating the allocation of the seats and it takes a long time to get to the final. At the same time, each ADUN, party leaders and organisations also lodged their nominees.

Now the list of Ahli Majlis is there and many people though that those nominated from DAP are all my nominees. However, to tell the truth only one who is from my list is appointed. Though before the nomination, we have so many rules or methods to select from the wide range of candidates list, it seems like most of the agreeable 'terms and conditions' were not executed.

A few days before, I was shocked to know that 3 of the Ahli Majlis had been convicted into a criminal case. Today, one of them was confirmed and the rest of the 2 had proven to have a clean record.

Since we won the Selangor state seat, there are many people suddenly rush to join Pakatan Rakyat. I am not saying that they all are no good but some of them really bringing in their hidden agenda. Therefore, as a leader for the party, it is very important to screen through his/her member in order to avoid any possible scandal.

It is only sad to see that the state government did not even bother to look through the nominees suggested by the ADUN... and worse still, it skipped the rules and regulation earlier set... It makes me feel even more uneasy that the EXCO who holds the portfolio of Local Government is a DAP ADUN, whom I don't really think he's doing a good job... The local government elections need to be restored as soon as possible,and only then we can see a brighter future and better development at local levels. There was no transparancy in electing the Ahli Majlis. Some big and powerfull hand have used their influence to push thier associates (cronies) in. I believe the electing of Ahli Majlis must left it to ADUN. And the most important must be local people. Hoping for more transparancy in future.
