I would like to call upon the people who read my blog to give me the comment regarding the above issue.
Before that I should give you a brief introduction about the case:
Pejabat Tanah and the MPAJ would like to turn (had been turning) a 5 ekar land to a muslim cemetary. According to pejabat tanah it started in year 2000.
The location of the proposed cemetary is at the backyard of all housing area. That piece of land is attaced to all the jungle or you may call it jungle reserve. The jungle reserve is around 22 ekar which is link to Cheras Hartamas (but no through road, only mountain).
Pejabat Tanah agree to develope a new through road to this cemetary so that the funeral car would not pass through all the housing area and school.
The proposed cemetary has moved in 70 square feet from the taman road. Outside is a parking, playground and a dewan. There are walls to blog the view from outside.
I called for a meeting 2 months ago after I realised that a machine went inside and clear the land. About 100 + residents from all ethnicity turn up. There are some people against but not very strong, most of them would like to know the development plan of this cemetary.
2 weeks ago, I received the development plan. I photostate the plan and invited residents to call me or my office regarding this project. I also invite them to attend the meeting which called by Pejabat Tanah. Sad to say that no call from the residents. 5 residents turned up for the meeting.
Before the meeting starts, I have a pre-meeting meeting with all these residents. I told them that they can voice out whatever opinion during the meeting. Sad to say that also, only one person voice out and this person did not oppose the project.
After that MCA called the residents to come out and protest this project. MP Dato Ong Tee Keat and the Ex-councilor Cindy Leong was there.
Your proposal or solutions are very much appreciated.
